Morning Speaker: Julia Gahagan
Julia has been quilting for over 20 years. Although she works full-time she finds time to quilt. She particularly enjoys making miniature and country style quilts. She belongs to the Stitch Witches group along with Kate Dowty, Terry Donaldson, Lois Bellew and Maryel Cowell. Julia has responded to the Stitch Witches yearly challenges by producing more contemporary work based on architecture and history.
Afternoon Speaker: Helen Howes
Helen makes Textile and Mixed Media artworks. She has always worked with cloth. Helen doesn’t remember learning to stitch. She worked for many years as a Kite Maker but now works more widely in textiles and mixed media.
